Considered to be the biggest of the three US Virgin Islands, the Buck Island measures six thousand feet in length and a half mile in width. It was recognized by the National Geographic Magazine as one of the ten leading Caribbean Beaches in the world.
Buck Island was preserved since 1948 to protect the endangered species in the place and it was proclaimed a national monument during the time of John F. Kennedy in 1961. There are lots of tour boats that one can take to explore Buck Island along with other sailing tours.
