In the history, it was mid 17th century when Dutch traders headed the early services in Fort Christian as the St. Thomas Protestant Reformed Dutch Church. Located at downtown Charlotte Amalie, this church encountered two massive fire and a hurricane in the past.

Before the reformed church’s stable location at the corner of Crystal Gade and Nye Gade, it was just rebuilt on Barrack Yard and Snegle Gade. The four tall and sturdy pillars on the entrance and the large front doors are unique for its design because it resemble the Greek architecture relived in the West Indies.
