This estate consists of 11 acres set at the foot of volcanic peaks on the northern rim of the island. The grounds are laced with self-guided nature walks which will acquaint you with some 200 varieties of West Indian plants and trees, which include an umbrella plant from Madagascar. From a panoramic deck inside gardens, you can see some 20 from the Virgin Islands, including Hans Lollick, an uninhabited island between Thatched Cay and Madahl Point. The home itself, filled with local art, is worth a visit.

Nestled high within the volcanic peaks of St. Thomas inside Virgin Islands sits St. Peter Wonderful Residence and Botanical Gardens. Inside 1800′s the scenic location was originally component with the 150-acre Plantation St. Peter. Frequented by several Indian tribes, the deeded owners were of French descent, who claimed the property had also been used by pirates to bury their treasure. Today,the Wonderful House boasts classic West Indian architecture with lush Botanical Gardens and a Nature Trail, streaming waterfalls, tropical bird aviaries, fish ponds, a lot more than 20 varieties of orchids and 150 species of Caribbean plants and fruits.

Oh no. It’s not just a garden. It’s a haven for artists. From paintings, to locally hand screened shirts, locally produced fabrics by the yard, art workshops and even jazz concerts!
