The Haagensen House

Founded way back in 1827, the Haagensen House was the original house of Danish people Hans Haagensen and wife Sarah Julia Magens. She is related to the now famous Magens Bay Beach. They raised well all their nine children in this ancient house which has now turned out to be a museum.

This 19th century house was restored. All the rooms of the house were fully furnished with artistic and antique pieces which led to it becoming such a living museum. It also has other interesting parts to explore like the outdoor kitchen and its herb garden.

You can enter it by foot close to the top of 99 steps. So if you brought a car, you can just park neat the Blackbeard’s Castle Inn.
