She is related to the now famous Magens Bay Beach. They raised well all their nine children in this ancient house which has now turned out to be a museum.

This 19th century house was restored. All the rooms of the house were fully furnished with artistic and antique pieces which led to it becoming such a living museum. It also has other interesting parts to explore like the outdoor kitchen and its herb garden.

You can enter it by foot close to the top of 99 steps. So if you brought a car, you can just park neat the Blackbeard’s Castle Inn.

Every resident from the United States who would travel to the Virgin Islands is allowed to take home goods that will amount to worth $1600 – all these are goods from Duty Free.

As you return to the US, you will fill out a form for separate customs for all the items you bought. Keep a hold of your receipt to have a reliable record of the items you purchased. This allowance is double compared to just the $800 from the rest of the islands.

What’s more is that you are even allowed to take 5 cartons of cigarettes and even 5 liters of liquor. This is for as long as you bought a bottle which was made from the Virgin Islands like the Cruzan Rum.

This is truly one wonderful way of not just hanging around in the beaches of St. Thomas but also enjoy most of your time shopping in breeze!

If you miss going shopping because of your St. Thomas vacation, worry no more because you can find what you are craving for in Yacht Haven Grande in Charlotte Amalie. With its collection of famous boutiques like Vuitton and Bulgari, the target market of this place is the rich tourists. But don’t just rush on going to this place because the shops availability and people traffic depend on the number of docked yachts. But whatever happens try to drop by the back patio of W!kked to savor its coconut-rum flamed tuna.

It was recognized by the National Geographic Magazine as one of the ten leading Caribbean Beaches in the world.

Buck Island was preserved since 1948 to protect the endangered species in the place and it was proclaimed a national monument during the time of John F. Kennedy in 1961. There are lots of tour boats that one can take to explore Buck Island along with other sailing tours.

You should not miss taking the snorkeling trail underwater to see the numerous fish specimens and numerous corals. The Renegade Tour would surely complete your visit since it is a boat with a bottom made of glass window so you can see the great wonders of the sea during your ride. Their Outdoor Market is an added attraction as well to buy fresh fruits that you can enjoy for a picnic.

Once inside the Lotus Asian Grill and Sushi Bar in American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook, don’t be surprised if you feel that you have been teleported to the island of Manhattan. This sister restaurant of pan-Latin eatery Havana Blue, Lotus has walls in apple-green color as well as lacquered panels that are carefully carved. Some guests find this place experimental with its unique designs as well as the presentation of its sushi. In playful rolls, the sushi may have other ingredients to partner with. This may include tofu, onions, red peppers, ginger, cheese and even Chinese mustard aioli.

If Asian-themed cocktails delight you, why not order Zen-tinis and Sakejitos at the bar before have a sincere talk with your loved one? Open daily from 5:30 to 10:30pm, this relaxing place also offers candlelit tables with schools of silver fishes on the giant video screen as background.

If you’ve seen a stunning building painted in pink color directed over Charlotte Amalie that would be the Frenchman’s Reef and Morning Star. Located at Estate Bakkeroe at the Morning Star Beach, this hotel has its own dock and terraces that enable it to facilitate water sports activity and at the same time, an area to view the cruise ships passing by.

This magnificent hotel is consists of 476 rooms that are either condo-style or the typical room style with flat screen televisions and newly renovated bathrooms. The choices for you would be between the family-centered Frenchman’s Reef and the laid-back beachfront Morning Star. The Havana Blue on the main Frenchman’s Hotel is a good place for parents to hang out while the kids are playing water sports, eating or simply swimming.
